We’re Back: A New Chapter Begins

If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, thank you for noticing. The silence wasn’t accidental. It was sacred.

No posts. No newsletters. Just stillness.

But in that stillness, God was moving.

I was being refined. Not just as a founder, but as a woman. As a wife. As a daughter of purpose.

A Season of Becoming

For me 2023, the year I went silent, was a year of pruning. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was being prepared for something deeper. Something more aligned. I had to pause, listen, and let go of what no longer fit—not just in my business, but in my spirit.

There were days I sat in front of my laptop and couldn’t write a single word. Not because I didn’t have ideas, but because I was being invited to rest. To reflect. To heal.

I faced burnout. I questioned my voice. I wrestled with wondering if I really belonged. I had moments where I wondered if the work I was doing was really making a difference. And in the middle of all that, I was navigating personal transitions. I was navigating grief, growth, and the sacred shift of becoming a wife.

Then came March 16, 2024.

The day I married the love of my life. That moment didn’t just change my name. It changed my lens, my perspective. It shifted how I see myself, how I dream, and how I lead.

Marriage has taught me that love is more than a feeling. It’s a foundation. And when you’re loved well, you begin to walk differently. You begin to see your purpose with fresh eyes.

I remember standing at the altar, holding his hands, and feeling the weight of every prayer I’d ever whispered. That moment was sacred. It reminded me that transformation is often quiet, sacred, and unseen, until one day you realize you’ve become someone you prayed to be.

This rebrand is the fruit of that transformation.

Lessons Learned in the Dark

One of the biggest lessons I learned is that stillness is not stagnation. Sometimes, God pauses your platform to protect your purpose. I had to learn to trust the quiet. To trust that even when I wasn’t producing, I was still becoming.

I also learned that clarity doesn’t always come in the spotlight. Most times it comes in the shadows. In the moments when no one is watching. In the tears cried behind closed doors. In the prayers whispered when you’re not sure what’s next.

Lastly and most importantly, I learned that identity must precede strategy. You can’t build something sustainable if you’re not rooted in who you are.

The Heart Behind Black Health Black Wealth

Black Health Black Wealth has never been just a business. It’s my heart. It’s my ministry. It’s the legacy I’m building for the women coming behind me.

I started this work because I saw the gaps. Gaps in how we tell our stories. Gaps in how we mentor our leaders. Gaps in how we build strategy that honors our wholeness.

I’ve been the first. The only. The one who had to figure it out without a roadmap. And I know what it feels like to carry brilliance and burden at the same time.

That’s why this work matters.

We exist to empower Black and Brown women in STEM and Public Health to walk boldly in their purpose—with identity at the center, healing in the process, and excellence as the standard.

Our vision is to cultivate optimal wellness and true health equity for Black and Brown women by equipping emerging leaders with the tools, mentorship, and strategy they need to thrive.

Our mission is to create space that provides Hope, Love, Light and Peace for the within, and Empowerment for facing the without. This is a space where young Black and Brown women are seen, supported, and celebrated—not just for what they do, but for who they are.

This work is personal. It’s rooted in lived experience, spiritual conviction, and a deep desire to see our communities whole, healed, and walking in truth.
